Interbike: Cross Vegas!

For those of you attending Interbike... Excel Sports is promoting a cyclocross race during the show: Cross Vegas. Should be pretty cool.

Speaking of which, Cross Babble is looking for spies to report back on CX products at the show. See your name in print! Make sure you take pictures and contact us after you get back.

New Babblers Installed

FYI to the Cross-Babble faithful - two new contributors have been added to this blog...

I'm pleased to announce that Mike Hernandez (a.k.a. the notorious Olaf Vanderhoot) will be sharing his abundant wit, wisdom, and charm with us this Fall.

Additionally, USAC official Casey Kerrigan will be able to share important racer announcements and other tidbits from the USAC and beyond.

Big welcome to these two personalities in our Norcal/Nevada cyclocross community. This should serve to make the Babble Blog even more interesting and lively.

No Partial Year Licenses This Year

Word has come down from USAC that riders will not be able to buy a partial year license at a discount this year. In the past several years riders were able to buy a partial year license, good from Sept 1 through the end of Dec, for $30. This has been good for those riders who are only interested in riding Cross. This year USAC has said no partial year licenses will be available. People who will only be riding Cross will have to pony up the full $60 for a USCF or NOBA license, or buy one day license for $10 each.
