Velonews has sold out

Apparently to Sea Otter.

I'm a bit behind the times, but the last issue of Velonews (a.k.a. the Sea Otter promotion pack), if you look closely you might manage to find a teeny tiny article on the biggest cyclocross race on US soil.

Yes that would be Nationals.



I used to read Velonews for race coverage and I expected to see big color shots of the race with a great story. What I see is a small photo of Ryan (ooh hey look there's the Sneadmeister!) in the Liberty Cup race on Sunday with a pitifully brief writeup on the race, INSIDE an article about how Katie has become the top female US Crosser (duh, where have you been the last 3 years?). Anyhow, I'm wondering if they even had someone at the race, and if so, whether he/she forgot his/her camera, pencil, paper, laptop...brain.

What a load of B.S. Please feel free tell Velonews exactly how you feel about this.

And what are the chances they'll redeem themselves with a cover shot from Worlds?

Probably nil...

It'll probably be Levi.
