Alteeza 40 Racing Delivers Solid Surf City Video Action

David Pederson of Alteeza 40 Racing captured some quality video action from the Elite Men's race at the Surf City final. Tim Johnson and Nor-Cal's best Elite riders put on quite the display of speed at Aptos High, and Pederson was able to catch many viewpoints from the race route during competition with his Flip Video Mino. Then apparently Pederson and Johnson both collaborated on the choice of music for this production......

ELITE MEN'S CYCLOCROSS NATIONAL CHAMPION TIMOTHY JOHNSON TO HOST MEET AND GREET AT BIKE STATION APTOS SATURDAY JAN. 9

Bike Station Aptos racer Courtney Shipman, who has had a excellent Cross season of racing herself, passed along some info about a great chance to meet and greet America's current Elite Men's National Cyclocross Champion Tim Johnson at Bike Station Aptos. Johnson will then proceed to take on all of Nor-Cal's best Elite racers at the Surf City Series final the following day at Aptos High School. It will be interesting to see Cal Giant Inc's Justin Robinson & Alan Coats, and the Rock Lobster "A" team, take on Cannondale's Johnson on equal terms. At the bigger races around the country Robinson was never called up to the front row, and was already at a disadvantage to the higher ranked Johnson when the gun went off to start the race. For this showdown at Aptos High, Robinson will get a front row call up, along with Wyandt, Snead, Coats, Kereluk, Bradford, Chapman, Falconer, McGovern, and Odell. Johnson will have to get past six Rock Lobster riders to get on equal terms with Robinson, who is no doubt going to savor a chance to fight it out with Johnson at a local race on his home turf. It is sure to be a good show! Please read on to check out the details from Courtney Shipman on the meet and greet at Bike Station Aptos.

Timothy Johnson, 2009 cyclocross National Champion (Cannondale Factory Team), will host a meet-and-greet on January 9th from 4-5 pm at Bike Station Aptos, in Aptos CA.

This social event aims to bring the cycling community together to celebrate Timothy’s recent success at Nationals in Bend, Oregon, in addition to generating interest and educating cycling enthusiasts within the local community about cyclocross and what it is like to be a professional cyclist.

Timothy will be signing autographs, after his account of racing in the freezing and icy temperatures in Bend, in addition to fielding questions from the audience about his career, Cannondale, and his plans for the rest of the 2009/2010 season.

For additional information, please contact Courtney Shipman or Bike Station Aptos at info@bikestationaptos.com, or 831.688.4169. Bike Station Aptos is located at 8061 Aptos Street, Aptos CA.
