Say what you want about the Cyclocross Nationals registration and staging process, but if you're taking Nationals seriously and you're not getting a call-up, you'd better get your butt online tomorrow night and make sure you don't start in the back of the pack.

Online registration will open on September 15th , 2007 at Midnight CST. Online Registration will close on December 8th , 2007 at midnight CST. All athletes will be staged based on when they registered for the event. Each registrant will receive an e-mail (please be sure and allow emails to be received from support@sportsbaseonline.com) confirmation stating the time and date they registered. Each athlete will also be able to view their start position as soon as they register for each race. Updating your profile on Sports Base Online will allow for correct and current information being provided to Officials and Media.SportsBaseOnline lists 1:00AM EDT as the start time, which is 10pm FRIDAY NIGHT for those of us on the West Coast.
Couple of tips:
- Get your Sports Base Online profile updated before registration opens.
- Have all your personal/race information close at hand.
- Perhaps even run thru a test registration for another race on SportsBase...
- Have the registration page loaded before it 10pm, and click refresh until the relevant link or info pops up.

Ive been doing only singlespeed races for 6 years, and now a chance to do the s.s. worlds, yes.

Thanks Funkdaddy for the heads up, I've reminded Anthony twenty times today already as I am not relying on the 5th place last year to get to the front line........good luck to all and see ya out at the races.

I realize this is a bit off the subject (but still has to do with registrations and such), but what with the changing of the cycling seasons and all, I think it's worth a little babble...
This summer I had the experience of racing a number of road races and crits down in SoCal. I kept an open mind and guess what I found? Great races and racing, competitive and often big fields and compared to NorCal, lower entry fees, lower late fees and WAY bigger and better prize lists! We love our racing up here, but why are entry fees as well as late fees higher and why are prize lists lower and in many cases virtually non existent?? Even the cross and mountainbike races (we all know which ones)cost more here. Why don't racers get a fair shake in NorCal? If promoters down in SoCal can put on races that way, why can't promoters up here do the same thing??
