Natz Schedule - Great Idea

Kudos to the organizers of the 2005 Cyclocross Nationals. I think the idea of having the Elite Men race on Saturday and Women on Sunday was great to spread the Elite action out over 2 days. Plus, having the bonus race on Sunday (Liberty Mutal Cup) was kind of a throwback to the SuperCup days. Also, it made this photo possible. How cool is it to see a race led off by all the newly-crowned National Champions???

Whoa cycloscott, such hostility. There has been a SS race at Nationals for a few years now and it would have been nice to have another race to enter besides the regular class that I would have. Besides, I do race my SS in races with geared guys.

given how my drivetrain was self-destructing it might have been a good idea to take a singlespeed...

psycoscott, you obviously have problem with SSers. My guess is you have been spanked well by some. I only expressed an opinion on a scheduling issue but you have taken this personal. You do have a point on class breakdowns but the manner in which you make that point is.....well, whatever. Good luck in your quest to rid the world of a SS class at races.

Well, as I said in the first line of in my response earlier, there has been a SS race at Nationals for a few years now and it would have been nice to continue having a SS race at Nationals. BTW, it is not, nor has it been a "title race", it simply was a great race to do. As far as hiding behind the anonymous tag, at this point it is a lot more fun since I know who you are. Do you remember fun or is capping on people your only outlet?

I am just a dumb speeder wanker, but please define "proselytizer". There really isn't a SS culture here as there is in Portland.

No, sorry to disappoint you Scott, I do not sandbag in some age group B's race. I have raced at the top end of the sport for quite some time. I am not some SS prophet spreading the word, just a guy who thought the schedule of Nats should have included a SS race as it has been. To me, that is no good, to you, it is something different. Give respect, get respect!

Well, like I said, "no good" is just an opinion, not fact. I beleive that is the spirit behind these blogs, not personal banter. If it must be said, there was time at 8am fri as well as a shortened schedule on sun. My mistake on the use of "no good". Who's Bradley?
